The Trial by Fire is an online news service for working people – the folks who push the brooms, shovel the dirt, beg for change and make the coffee.
Although the blog is concerned mostly with labor news, it doesn’t confine itself to simple economic commentary. The modern worker faces a lot of problems – most of them not at work.
Workers today not only have to worry about feeding ourselves and our families, but also have to consider issues as diverse and complicated as racial justice, sexism, international trade, environmental responsibility, and foreign policy.
The TBF believes that the most sensible approach to sorting through these issues is an Anarchist approach – a topic I discuss more on the page “The Political Philosophy of Anarchism.”
With that in mind, the TBF compiles “all the news thats fit to post” for its fellow workers to read and discuss.
